Eco parks, as green reserves of urban land, play an important role in the sustainable development of cities. They have high power in creating ecological balance in urban areas with a comprehensive set of sustainable measures such as environmentally friendly plant species, reducing waste generation through recycling in the environment, using clean energy and local materials, prioritizing the development of public transportation, sidewalks, and bicycle paths compared to ordinary neighborhood parks. In line with the preservation and necessity of environmental design, the reconnection of humans and nature, familiarity with natural processes (such as biological processes), and coordination between natural and man-made structures have been considered in recent years. Therefore, this study investigated the feasibility of establishing an eco-park on Bumosi Island in the Persian Gulf. The research method is qualitative and exploratory. The criteria of environmental sustainability, socio-economic sustainability, cultural advancement, education, and sustainability of physical and ecological design were used to assess the feasibility of the eco-park. The study results showed that Bumosi Island cannot currently create an eco-park. This possibility may be realized in the coming years.
